Overview
New Berlin Animal Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian to join our rapidly growing four doctor practice in New Berlin, WI. This well-established, AAHA accredited, small animal practice is looking for a dynamic full time veterinarian, and will consider part time, or new graduate. This position offers a six figure salary plus production, $250k bonus package, paid family leave, 401k match and more.
About the Position
The ideal veterinarian will have surgical skills combined with exceptional communication skills, allowing them to bond with clients and build positive relationships with our incredible leadership and support teams. Attractive clinic hours and flexible scheduling that includes no on-call or afterhours will allow the incoming veterinarian to build a thriving practice while achieving work/life balance. Team members will work a four day week plus a rotating Saturday.

In addition to wellness care, the hospital offers digital x-rays, dentistry, digital dental x-rays, in-house lab equipment, ultrasound, and EKG. Responsibilities
- Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform surgery on animals
- Test for and vaccinate against diseases
- Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe medication
- Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
